Joining or setting up a Business Watch scheme is an effective way for businesses to work together to tackle business crime and anti social behaviour. A Business Watch scheme is a partnership between the business community, local authorities, the police and other organisations that represent business interests. Business Watch schemes enable individual businesses to take an active part in preventing and reducing crime on business premises and in business districts. This is achieved through sharing information, raising awareness and improving communication through meetings and newsletters.
One of the most effective ways of fighting crime and ultimately reducing the financial impact is by working together in your local area.
How do I get involved?
Get in touch with Be Involved. Ask if a Business Watch group already operates in your area. If it does we will put you in touch with the coordinator. If not we will put you in touch with West Yorkshire Police and work with you to see if new group can be started in your area. |
