Bradford Real Nappy Project promotes the use of washable nappies to reduce families’ environmental impact in terms of reducing waste going to landfall and energy used and saves families money. This financial saving £20 or more a month is particularly important to Bradford’s low income families. The project has a good track record of working in low income areas with close working relationships with many local sure start programs, and also reaches out to the majority of 1st time new parents via the NHS anti natal classes.
The Nappy Project is part of Bradford Envionmental Action Trust, which was established in 1997 and delivers a range of environmental projects currently in the arenas of waste minimisation and Bio diversity. |
