Support the Children’s University by providing volunteers and resources to deliver ‘out of school hours’ learning focusing on Environment and Construction for 7-13 year olds.

The Children’s University is developing links with businesses to develop ten hour learning modules. The support given from the businesses could be money, skills or equipment / resources. For example key workers from a business could visit the school and discuss or help the young people with a project. The Children’s University also wishes to build networks with businesses for sponsorships and donation of equipment or facilities.

The main outcome will engage businesses with every school in Bradford and District. Linking 2-5 local businesses with each school. The work of the Children’s University provides opportunities for schools to experience the world of business and businesses to make a meaningful contribution to schools. The Children’s University believe that it is important for our 7-13 year olds to learn about the world of work through fun and exciting opportunities.

Organisation Details

The Children’s University (CU) Bradford and District is responsible for promoting and funding ‘out of school hours’ learning focusing on Environment and Construction. The CU funds 10 hour learning modules which offer opportunities for young people and their wider community to participate in fun learning activities. The CU provides a brokerage service for every school, voluntary and community group, to deliver and develop quality out of school hours learning for 7-13 year olds.
