Our annual conference is in London on 12 June 08 at Canary Wharf - an opportunity to network with other businesses, schools/colleges and other organisations involved in career academies up and down the country. Free places available - check out the website. Career Academies operate in schools and colleges across the country. They are partnerships between business and students studying at Level 3 (A Level standard), the aim being to completely integrate real business with students' studies. With the numbers of students increasing on this popular programme, we need more employers to help us, specifically to provide one or more or all of the following:
1) representation on the Local Advisory Board
2)Partners in Business to the students (mentors);
3) Learning activities, including visits, workshops etc; and
4) Paid 6 week internships.
