Be Involved have a list of organisations that are seeking board members with specific skills from business. In the past we have placed business people into board positions with arts organisations, drugs projects, community centres, childcare providers and a host of other organisations. All you need is the time and enthusiasm to work with a group of like minded people to make a success of a community project or organisation.
Typically a board member will make a commitment to attend board meetings 4 to 6 times per annum for around two hours and to ensure that they have read relevant board papers. At board meetings you will be expected to contribute to strategic decisions and use your business skills to ensure that the organisation is managed and run effectively.
Be Involved will work with you to find you the right match to your interests and business skills and provide guidance on board memberships. Our team will be there to support you and help you to make the relationship successful.
Be Involved works with Keighley Voluntary Services and Bradford CNet to identify organisations that would benefit from business board members. These include charities and social enterprises covering a wide range of community activities.
