Success Story
Nursery Garden - Springwood Primary School
Volunteers from Yorkshire Building Society spent the day at Springwood Primary school at the beginning of March. They managed to completely transform the nursery garden with new features, including:
- A new rockery
- Log seating
- Brightly coloured tyre planters
- Mini beast houses
Michael Ratcliffe, a volunteer from Yorkshire Building Society said 'I'd say the whole experience was hard work but ultimately very rewarding.'
The volunteers from YBS got involved through their ‘Growing as a Leader’ programme, an approach used by YBS to develop leaders within the organisation.
