As part of the Bradford Kickstart programme and Be Involved, we are seeking inspiring people from business to act as mentors for growing businesses, pre and new start entrepreneurs and social enterprises.

This is a fantastic opportunity to share the skills, knowledge and expertise you have gained in business with individuals who are starting and growing their business or organisation. Over the past 4 years Be Involved have run award winning mentoring programmes in Bradford, placing mentors with businesses, community organisations and social enterprises. The impact these mentors make is extraordinary. Becoming a volunteer mentor is hugely rewarding, a great personal development opportunity and a chance for both the mentor and mentee to develop new skills and knowledge.

In addition mentors will be able to take advantage of a free accredited one day course in practical mentoring skills, delivered by Global Synergy Solutions. On this course you will learn skills that are applicable in your own workplace and in your role as a mentor. Mentors also receive expenses whilst on the programme and a copy of The Psychology of Coaching, Mentoring and Learning worth £35.

Mentors make a commitment to work with their mentee over 12 months, a minimum time commitment of 12 hours. During this time they work with a mentee and help to develop their ideas and their business. Alongside the programme will be a series of Business Bridge seminars, which mentors may wish to attend, and access to specialist business advice through the Kickstart Business Growth Programme.
