Launch of Young Enterprise Scheme



The launch of the Young People's Enterprise Programme for the Yorkshire and Humber took place on Thursday 27th September 2007 at the Norcroft Centre at Bradford University.

As part of Bradford District's LEGI (Local Enterprise Growth Iniative) scheme, Young Enterprise Yorkshire and Humber (YEYH) has been commissioned to lead the young people's element of Kickstart. www.yeyh.org.uk

A dedicated Young Enterprise team will work with young people, education, business and enterprise stakeholders across the Bradford district to :

  • Promote, support and co-ordinate enterprise activity within schools and colleges
  • Raise entrepreneurial aspiration, ambition and ability in young people
  • Provide practical business and enterprise learning for young people
  • Encourage and support creation of real enterprise
  • Facilitate and encourage business and community engagement with schools and young people
  • Enhance and develop a sustainable enterprise spirit and culture within schools
  • Develop partnership working with synergetic organisations
  • Establish links with exisitng local, regional, national and international networks
  • Ensure that activity complements and builds on existing enterprise provision
